Studio K Interior Design is an award-winning interior design studio based in Cairns, Far North Queensland offering an intimate and elevated interior design experience. At the heart of what we do is the desire to design and create interiors that are treasured and provide pleasure. Her mind is wired for cataloguing ideas, products and special pieces with encyclopaedic precision, complimented by her wizard-like sourcing skills. Bronte is a true enthusiast of materials that are slow-made and derived from the earth - think stone, ceramics and natural fibres - often channelling her love for strong, deep colours like olive green, ochre, burgundy, and black. Grey’s just not in her vocabulary! Having spent 2.5 adventurous years living in London, Bronte travelled extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, gaining inspiration from the rich cultures and diverse landscapes she experienced. A 10 year stint in New Zealand introduced her to Kiwi-ingenuity and she learned the art of creative problem-solving. Beyond the design realm and in a parallel life, Bronte dreams of being a rock star, travelling the globe, playing music in intimate bars, and living a gypsy lifestyle.

Our spirited interior designer believes that every room should tell a story. A proud mom of two adventurous little girls, Felicia dived into the design world as a colour consultant after stepping away from university. Since then, she’s worked in various roles in construction and design, collecting experiences like others collect Alemais.

Since then, she’s worked in various roles in construction and design, collecting experiences like others collect Alemais. Her designs aim to capture the feelings and lifestyles of the people who inhabit them, making every project a distinctive representation of the clients’ desires. With a knack for crunching numbers combined with dreaming up the perfect palette her unique approach bridges the gap between functionality and aesthetics. A natural organizer and self-designated team note taker, she brings to the studio a calming essence coupled with a highly resolved theoretical approach to design concepts.

From a young age it was clear that Ebony had a drive for interior design as she would often re-arrange her room (and the rest of the house)! With only a slight mishap with some lime green paint on her teenage walls her journey continued onwards and upwards. As a new graduate, Ebony is just starting to cut her teeth in the industry, already making waves with her creative flair and zest for colour. Ebony is super passionate about sustainability, inspired by the fascinating (and sometimes shocking) things people toss away. When she’s not dreaming up spaces, you’ll find her cycling to the beach with her k9 side kick, Ewok, living his best life riding shotgun in his basket. Future Ebony dreams of trading her current scenery for the vibrant streets of Melbourne or even jet-setting abroad to dive headfirst into a whirlwind of culture, fashion, and design.
